Hey, Just wanted to let you know about this link which isn’t working - http://reference.perl.com, I found it on this page - http://perl.mines-albi.fr/perl5.6.1/5.6.1/pod/perlfaq2.html. You’re link includes this text - "http://reference.perl.com/", if that helps you find it. We’ve got a guide to Perl which covers the history of this programming language, and includes some useful resources for learning Perl. So if you are looking for an alternative page to point people to perhaps you could include ours - http://wiht.link/perl-resources? All the best, Elsa

As the URL indicates, that page reflects the perlfaq2 document as it was included with Perl 5.6.1, a 15-year-old release of Perl. The broken link has long since been removed in more recent versions of the document. And the fact that back in 5.6.1 it included a now-broken link is a historical fact that cannot be changed retroactively. So thanks for your suggestion, but unfortunately it is not very useful. :-/ You can find contemporary versions of it in the following places: • The version included with the most recently released version of Perl: http://perldoc.perl.org/perlfaq2.html • The version most recently published to CPAN: https://metacpan.org/pod/distribution/perlfaq/lib/perlfaq2.pod • The version as it is currently being edited: https://github.com/perl-doc-cats/perlfaq/blob/master/lib/perlfaq2.pod (This also means https://github.com/perl-doc-cats/perlfaq/issues is the place for suggestions for edits to this and other perlfaq documents.) As a maintainer of several public web-sites (where I have a visible E-mail address at the bottom for feedback) I've been receiving many similar messages of "You have a broken link here, please fix it and consider replacing it with a link to one of our web-sites.". I believe many of these messages fall under spamming and should be ignored. And they are often annoying.
