From @khwilliamson

This is a bug report for perl from public@khwilliamson.com,
generated with the help of perlbug 1.39 running under perl 5.15.1.

my $a = "\x{e2}A";
utf8::upgrade($a);
say $a =~ qr/ (?aa: \x{e2} \b A* ) /x;

This should succeed since "A" is a \w under /aa;
"\x{e2}" is not a \w under /aa

  category=core
  severity=high
