We need to include the patches from #126182 in 5.24.1, 5.24 got
released in an incomplete state without all the patches from that
sequence. I havent worked out the details yet, but I didnt want it to
get lost.

https://rt-archive.perl.org/perl5/Ticket/Display.html?id=128929 build fixes, the warnings didnt exist in 5.22 on MSVC since the code (CPP macro buffer size limit) didn't exist

I'm trying to understand what you mean here, and what actions you want
taken.

backport to 5.24 request under

"Patches that fix regressions in perl's behavior relative to previous releases, no matter how old the regression, since some people may upgrade from very old versions of perl to the latest version." (the CC warnings are not present in 5.22)

"Patches that fix anything which prevents or seriously impacts the build or installation of perl." (lots of CC warnings in each core .c file on VC 2003 and older, not sure if this is "seriously impacts" or not)

I have added this to the list of prospective 5.24.2 patches, including
my vote for it.

From @jkeenan

perl-5.24 is out of support, so this ticket can be resolved.

Thank you very much.
