I just installed perl 5.005_60 and Tk800.015 on
Linux 2.2.10 with libc 5.4.44
when I attempt to run the demo program I get the following error,
and I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this.
/usr/local/bin/perl5.00560 Tk800.015/demos/widget
panic: POPSTACK
Callback called exit.
END failed--cleanup aborted at /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.00560/base.pm line 92.
(this happens before any windows appear,
also Tk800.015/demos/widget_old seems to work ok)
Is this a perl bug or a Tk bug?
(running in perl -d trace mode I do see an interesting message
buried withing the trace output)
Assertion failed: file "pp_ctl.c", line 2430.
(oh, I compiled perl with DEBUGGING)
(I don't get the assertion failure when not running with -d,
so this may be a different problem)
I'm using Linux dd 2.2.10-ac12 #1 SMP Tue Jul 20 13:44:40 PDT 1999 i686
with /lib/libc.so.5.4.44
