The Range class allows almost anything to be used as an endpoint, including most type objects. But Nil confuses it:
Range.new(Nil, List).min (Any) (Nil..List).min (Any) Range.new(List, Nil) List..Any
Nil is being changed into Any. If type objects are to be generally permitted as Range endpoints, then Nil should work the same way as the others.
