Dear All,.

  I've some problem to ask you. I used crypt function in perl to
encrypt password, But it can encrypt only 8 characters. If i use
password more than 8 characters. It's not work. i want to know the
solutions that rectify its. If you knows, Please give me your
solutions.

From The RT System itself

crypt uses the system crypt implementation. The 8 character limit is not a perl issue.
