From zefram@fysh.org

Range.new(min => (2|3), max => (4|5)).WHAT
(Range)
Range.new(min => (2|3), max => (4|5)).perl.EVAL.WHAT
(Junction)
Range.new(min => (2|3), max => (4|5)).perl
any(2, 3)..any(4, 5)
Range.new(min => (2|3), max => (4|5)).perl.EVAL.perl
any(any(2..4, 2..5), any(3..4, 3..5))

Failure of .perl.EVAL round-tripping. Range.perl's use of the
".." operator runs into Junction autothreading.
