Different behavior of qqw<...> & «...» #5328
Comments
From kopytov@webhackers.ruHi. Documentation says that quoting constructs qqw<...> & «...» are $ perl6 -e ' my $b = "b"; qqw<a /$b/ c>.perl.say ' $ perl6 -e ' my $b = "b"; «a /$b/ c».perl.say ' Is it an undocumented feature or bug? -- |
From @AlexDanielIf I'm not mistaken, it is equivalent to qqww, not qqw. We're talking about this part of the documentation, I guess: https://doc.perl6.org/language/quoting#Word_quoting_with_interpolation%3A_qqw According to roast, the docs are wrong. See this: https://github.com/perl6/roast/blob/ab74762da156fa6fda5dd39281f7ffcc361d5a88/S02-literals/quoting.t#L239 |
From @AlexDanielGiven that there are tests for it, I conclude that this is a problem with the documentation. I have created an issue here: Raku/doc#532 Therefore, this particular ticket can be closed. Thank you for your bug report. |
