This is a bug report for perl from revhippie@​gmail.com,
generated with the help of perlbug 1.40 running under perl 5.20.2.


perldoc perlport > ISSUES > "Files and Filesystems" contains a
chart of "portable filename characters" as defined by ANSI C.

This chart is missing "s" and "S".

This system is perl 5.20.2, but the issue appears at least as
far back as 5.8 and up to 5.23.9.
