regex: /\p / and /\p^/ give strange warnings

How to reproduce
----------------

perl5.23.4 -e '/\p^/'

Note: /\P^/, /\p / and /\P / all yield the same results.

Expected behavior
-----------------

Perl should die with the following diagnostic:

Can't find Unicode property definition "^" at -e line 1.

Actual behavior
---------------

Perl terminates normally, but prints the following warnings:

Use of uninitialized value $table in concatenation (.) or string at /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.23.4/utf8_heavy.pl line 398.
Use of uninitialized value in transliteration (tr///) at /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.23.4/utf8_heavy.pl line 23.
Use of uninitialized value $loose in pattern match (m//) at /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.23.4/utf8_heavy.pl line 25.
Use of uninitialized value $table in concatenation (.) or string at /usr/local/lib/perl5/5.23.4/utf8_heavy.pl line 413.
