This is a bug report for perl from dom@​earth.li,
generated with the help of perlbug 1.39 running under perl 5.14.2.

As discussed in <https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=754054>
a suspected GCC-4.9 bug breaks perl on mips and mipsel architectures.
A workaround (to downgrade the optimisation of regcomp.c) is attached.

This only happens with -fPIC -ftree-vrp builds.

It is a regression from gcc-4.8.
