B::Deparse confused about CORE::sort vs ::sort #13618
Comments
From @leonerdCreated by @leonerdIt seems that 'sort' is special to the parser: <LeoNerd> eval: sub sort { die "DIE DIE DIE"; } [ sort 1,2,3 ] <LeoNerd> eval: sub sort { die "DIE DIE DIE"; } [ sort( 1,2,3 ) ] <LeoNerd> eval: sub sort { die "DIE DIE DIE"; } [ ::sort( 1,2,3 ) ] Deparse doesn't maintain this special property: <LeoNerd> perlbot: deparse sub sort { die "DIE DIE DIE"; } [ ::sort( 1,2,3 ) ] This latter example probably ought to yield [main::sort(1, 2, 3)] Perl Info
