I needed to find a memory leak in some code, so I went to compile Perl 5.6.0 with -DLEAKTEST. It happily failed on me. I have two little diffs here that make it compile, and everything I've tried this new binary with works. Anyway, it's a small patch, so I've included the two diffs here: perl.h: 2039a2040 Show quoted text
> #define DEBUG_L(a)
util.c: 1876c1876,1881 < DEBUG_L(xstat()); --- Show quoted text
> DEBUG_L(*message == '!' > ? (xstat(message[1]=='!' > ? (message[2]=='!' ? 2 : 1) > : 0) > , 0) > : 0);
I'm really new at this, so please let me know if these diffs are any good. Thank you.

(Just reviewing old perl bugs). Your patch appears to have been applied to the 5.6.x branch, and the 5.8.x branch doesnt use LEAKTEST any more, so I'm closing the call. Regards, dave M.
