|Subject:||Bug in Configure script on Linux|

I’m trying to build perl-5.22.0 and was stopped because of the following error
Which I don’t know to get around.
It tells me it can’t find ‘touch’ which is clearly in the /bin directory.
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong.
Locating common programs...
awk is in /bin/awk.
cat is in /bin/cat.
chmod is in /bin/chmod.
comm is in /usr/bin/comm.
cp is in /bin/cp.
echo is in /bin/echo.
expr is in /usr/bin/expr.
grep is in /bin/grep.
ls is in /bin/ls.
mkdir is in /bin/mkdir.
rm is in /bin/rm.
sed is in /bin/sed.
sort is in /bin/sort.
I don't know where 'touch' is, and my life depends on it.
Go find a public domain implementation or fix your PATH setting!
