From s_raj@hotmail.com

I am Rajesh writing from QuestAm,
I faced a compilation error during the installation of Perl 5.005.02.
I am using gcc compiler.
When I ran
sh Configure from the directory in which Configure was present,
the following error occured.
Checking your choice of C compiler and flags for coherency...
I've tried to compile and run a simple program with:

gcc -O -o try -L/usr/local/lib try.c -lsocket -lnsl -ldbm -lmalloc
-ldl -lld -lm -lc -lcrypt -lucb
  ./try

and I got the following output:

/usr/gcc/H-sparc-sun-solaris2/lib/gcc-lib/sparc-sun-solaris2/2.7-96q3/../../../../sparc-sun-solaris2/bin/ld:
cannot open -ldbm: No such file or directory
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
I can't compile the test program.
(The supplied flags might be incorrect with this C compiler.)

I am not what flags I should give.
I would be grateful if I can get a solution as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance
Rajesh
