Possible documentation bug in perlipc.
(Please ignore this if it's been fixed or if I'm wrong!)

In the section "Unix-Domain TCP Clients and Servers" the following example
is used​:

unless ( -S '/dev/log' ) {
die "something's wicked with the print system";
}

I could be wrong, but IIRC /dev/log belongs to syslogd and is unrelated
to the print system (/var/run/printer on my system).
