From lvirden@cas.org

This is a build failure report for perl from lvirden@cas.org,
generated with the help of perlbug 1.29 running under perl v5.6.0.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that the rsync is making a change
anywhere that indicates which patches have been applied. However
I did

rync -auvz rsync://ftp.linux.activestate.com/perl-current/ perl-5.6.0/

this morning against the perl 5.6.0 source.

Anyways, when I got to the point of doing a make test, I got this error:

comp/require.........FAILED at test 23

This is the error I was getting earlier - however, the rsync before
today's (most likely to have been over the weekend or end of last week)
actually resulted in a situation where this warning did NOT appear.

This is the case where running ./perl t/comp/require.t generates no
error, but running the test as a part of the harness does generate the
error.

Larry W. Virden (lists.p5p):

Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that the rsync is making a change
anywhere that indicates which patches have been applied.

I posted something here a few days ago which added change-level
information to patchlevel.h given a file produced by the repository.
Until the infrastructure is in place for that, you can pretty much
assume changes-latest.gz to be accurate, since it's generated daily.

comp/require.........FAILED at test 23

This is the case where running ./perl t/comp/require.t generates no
error, but running the test as a part of the harness does generate the
error.

Yeah, this is my BOM patch. My apologies. I'll take a look at it when I
have tuits.

From @jhi

I'm closing off some of the older Perl Not OK reports.
If you still have problems, please report them using Perl 5.8.0
or Perl 5.6.1.
