this test contains some test cases which fail miserably on case
insensitive file systems - I've seen this on dos.

Works fine on Windows. Did you mean "non-case-preserving" instead
of "case-insensitive"?

Yes, that's what I thought :) If those tests are not about to test the
"non-case-preserving" property of the file system, then I think it
would be ok to change the file names to lowercase. Can I send a patch?
