From Fabien.Paganelli@nanterre.marelli.fr

I'm currently installing a version of PERL (see features at the bottom) on a
HP-server and I'm currently meeting a problem.
After performing make, I've performed make test with a view to test the building
of perl. The test is OK at more than 96%. However I obtained errors on the test
of op/misc.t. Here is a sample of the errors I got by running ./perl op/misc.t
(note that all the errors I got are similar) :

...
# fdopen from a system descriptor to a system descriptor used to close
# the former.
open STDERR, '>&=STDOUT' or die $!;
select STDOUT; $| = 1; print fileno STDOUT;
select STDERR; $| = 1; print fileno STDERR;

What is strange is that the test got what it expected except the message "stty:
: Not a typewriter". I don't know how to deal with that since I'm not too
familiar with stty stuff ! Would you main to give me a help, please.

Features:
OS : HP-UX 10.20 running on server HP 9000/847
Compiler : gcc 2.8.1
Version of perl : perl-5.005.02

Thanks a lot.
