Migrated from rt.perl.org#1591 (status was 'resolved')

Searchable as RT1591$

From mjtg@cus.cam.ac.uk

says to look at

  http://www.perl.org/maillist.html

But that link doesn't exist - error 404.

Where is this info now to be found?

The only mailing list info I could find at www.perl.org was details
of Perlmongers lists.

perlfaq2: What mailing lists are there for perl?

Where is this info now to be found?

To partially answer my own question, I have found

  http://www.perl.com/pub/language/info/mailing-lists.html

but it seems to be (a) somewhat out of date (it hasn't been updated for
the recent perl.org changes) (b) is rather incomplete - it has
only a couple of the many lists at perl.org.

Is there a more comprehensive list available?

If I can ever dig myself out of this pile of diapers, I think that
the Mongers are keen to have the mailing list list on www.perl.org
instead of this about-to-go-away tpi.perl.org. All it requires is
time to coordinate the move, but I can't seem to find time to do
even that :(

Hi Nat:

Some of the entries on 00whois on CPAN don't seem to
be on the others (e.g perl4lib for librarians). I don't think
any of the lists can claim to be comprehensive just yet,
merely more complete than the others. I agree that
www.perl.org is a plausible target destination - with CPAN
as a second choice.

The PAUSE *must* know about mailinglists that are listed as a contact
address, so there is already the necessary database support. I'd
welcome additions and corrections and it's no work to add them to the
database (and thus to the 00whois document).

But I believe we should leave the complete list to search engines,
e.g.

http://www.meta-list.net (95 perl lists)
or
http://www.liszt.com (28 perl lists)

(Disclaimer: I'm involved in the Meta-List project)

that.

for those who find it easier to discuss in their native tongue.
But its own instructions/captions should also be "switchable".

This is perl-sdk, I think.

You snipped too much of the original message. He's saying that this
particular list of mailing lists had bugmongers@perl.org with the
description for perl-sdk@perl.org.
