That caveat is what steered me to using strings in the first place,
so thanks for writing it.

Perhaps it should mention that it can throw off the numbers in varying
amounts, slowing faster routines (percentage wise) more than slower
routines? I'm not talking about mixing the techniques here, but when
using nothing but subs.
