This is a success report for perl from nick@talking.bollo.cx, generated with the help of perlbug 1.34 running under perl v5.8.0. Perl reported to build OK on this system. (sort of) In fact, if I build perl on plum, then it goes SEGV in 20 or so tests, mainly somewhere in Perl_cast_iv when called from Storable.so What I actually did was run Configure on perl, ship config.sh to roast: nick@roast [17570-32-M]$ gcc -v Using builtin specs. gcc version 2.95.4 20020320 [FreeBSD] nick@roast [17570-32-M]$ uname -a FreeBSD roast.cow.org.uk 4.6-STABLE FreeBSD 4.6-STABLE #9: Sat Jul 13 18:52:19 BST 2002 paul@roast.cow.org.uk:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/ROAST i386 build there (passes all tests) then ship back to plum, where it passes all tests. The significance of all this is that plum is dual CPU FreeBSD, and it passes all the threads tests. --- Flags: category=install severity=none --- Site configuration information for perl v5.8.0: Configured by nick at Tue Jul 16 11:44:45 BST 2002.
