perldb "m" has problems with PPI::Document objects #10418
Comments
From doom@smtp.stanford.eduCreated by doom@kzsu.stanford.eduUsing "m" to look for methods on some PPI objects fails A minimal script to reproduce the problem: use warnings; If I use the debugger to step through to after this point: my $Document = PPI::Document->new(\$line); And then try an 'm', I see this: DB<1> m $Document However, if instead I just run the script, the following line print Dumper( $Document ), "\n"; $VAR1 = bless( And the next few lines verifies that this object has at least one method: my $subby = $Document->find_first('PPI::Token::Regexp::Substitute'); $VAR1 = bless( Some relevant version information: perl --version Perl Info

From @richardfoleyI think you might find it's nothing to do with PPI::Document objects. Take a [perl #73552] debugger m -> Not a subroutine reference -- http://www.rfi.net/ On Wednesday 02 June 2010 03:53:53 doom@smtp.stanford.edu wrote:
